EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGISTThe Richmond School District is currently seeking a full-time Educational Psychologist. This position is a continuing contract position.All positions within Learning Services engage in supporting the District’s Strategic Plan, specifically, Strategic Priority 1: Success for all Learners and Strategic Priority 2: Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. The School Psychologist position includes opportunities to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment in the context of the Learning Services Department and with school personnel. This position also involves professional consultation and supporting educational changes in a variety of contexts.The successful candidate will also:Provide collaborative consultation with teachers, parents, and community agencies, and at school-based team meetings Provide ongoing collaborative planning for students and classrooms and assist with pre-referral interventions Provide individualized psycho-educational assessments (based on student need) for students referred through the school-based team process Contribute to the development of educational plans such as the IEP Provide in-service training in the areas of interventions, progress monitoring, data collection and/or assessment Assist with the Ministry of Education processes for designation and adjudication Provide professional learning opportunities for staff Qualifications:A master’s degree in school/educational psychology Licensing/eligibility with the College of Health Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC)with special training and supervision in school psychology Teaching certification with BC Teacher Regulation Branch an asset If you have any questions about this position, please contact Sarah Loat, District Administrator – Inclusive Learning at [email protected].
