Job Description Revelstoke Snow School seeks to recruit and retain experienced, attentive and enthusiastic employees to represent the Snow School as a Level 3 certified instructor trainer, to deliver instructor training programs and lead groups of all levels with a focus on making the most out of our guests experience at RMR. The focus of the Snow School is to create a safe and fun learning environment for all participants and provide the best mountain experience for our Guests. Revelstoke is committed to supporting our staff with training and scheduling flexibility to allow staff to attend CSIA/CASI training. Key Responsibilities: Maintain a safe environment for all guests, staff and trainees Deliver Instructor training programs, including Snow School Training and Gap year programs Teach a variety of lessons and programs to skiers of all ability levels Represent the resort in a positive, professional manner Develop and close sales opportunities, selling commissionable lessons Assist snow school management and other departments, including off-snow assignments Commitments: • Part Time Plus: -Available 2-4 days/week • Full Time: -Available 4-6 days/week Qualifications & Skills (Please note, only applications that meet the requirements will be considered) • Must be eligible to work in Canada – can provide work permit and sin documentation • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions • Ability to teach both children and adults • Passion for the mountains, guest service and the sport • Bondable, with a criminal record check less than 3 months old Level 3 Ski instructor: -CSIA Level 3 – or other equivalent international certification -CSIA Trainer Development Certification - Additional certs/exp such as dual cert, CSCF, CFSA, CADS, CSIA Freestyle, strongly preferred -Proven freeride coaching or competitive experience is a major asset Compensation and Benefits: • Free Season pass • Discounted lift tickets for friends and family • Discounts at the resort’s restaurants, retail, rental, repairs outlets including pro deals. • Free or discounted lift tickets at many other resorts • Discounts at Sutton and Sandman hotels (employee and friends/family) • Additional Northland Properties discounts via a Perks program with other vendors Disclaimer: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. Exigences
Candidates must hold a CSIA Level 3 certification or equivalent and possess a CSIA Trainer Development Certification. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and be capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions.
