Job Description LOCATION: TORONTO What is the opportunity? Are you interested in working as a Data Analyst Co-op on the Innovation & Tech team in Technology & Operations at the Royal Bank of Canada? RBC`s AI Business Enablement team is responsible for identifying and shaping opportunities for artificial intelligence (machine learning and generative ai, specifically) to produce measurable business value across Business Units and Functions. We oversee a portfolio of opportunities ranging from near term to long term, partnering on delivery alongside domain experts, AI researchers, and machine learning software engineers. What will you do? Build and maintain adoption dashboards tracking RBC’s generative AI solution usage across Business Units and Functions, measuring feature adoption, time-to-value, usage patterns, and adoption curve progression Deliver weekly insights readouts to the AI Business Enablement team and Product team, translating usage data into actionable "so what?" recommendations that surface opportunities for greater business value Monitor and synthesize external GenAI trends from consumer-grade tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to contextualize RBC's internal adoption patterns, identify emerging use cases, and surface implications for enterprise GenAI strategy Conduct qualitative user research by engaging with communities of RBC’s generative AI solution users to capture success stories, identify adoption barriers, and document high-value use cases that demonstrate measurable business impact Support phased rollout activities across business units and functions, including event support, post-go-live analysis, and creating repeatable measurement playbooks that standardize how the AI Business Enablement team tracks and reports value What do you need to succeed? Must-have Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on Data Analytics Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written) Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast-paced environment Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of Programming and Scripting Languages, such as Python and SQL Knowledge of Data + Engineering Skills, such as Data Analysis and Data Visualization Knowledge of Database Technologies, such as Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL Knowledge of other specific tools, such as Tableau and PowerBI Nice-to-have Experience using or analyzing generative AI tools (Claude, Gemini, Copilot, etc.) for productivity or research Prior co-op or work experience in product analytics, user research, or data-driven decision-making Knowledge of Data + Engineering Skills, such as ML/AI Concepts and Statistical Analysis Transferrable Skills: Communication, Analytical Thinking, Curiosity What’s in it for you?
