Based in Huntsville, ON, the Geotechnical Engineering Technician will have a wide range of duties while assisting in all aspects of engineering project delivery. This is a new 4-month student position and the wage range is $23.00 - $26.00 hourly. What You’ll Do: As part of the TULLOCH Engineering team, you will: Assist Project Managers in all aspects of project delivery Contribute to preliminary and detailed design and drawing preparation for various geotechnical engineering projects Participate in all aspects of site investigations Perform soil classification, borehole logging, and sampling and borehole generation Complete construction inspection and monitoring activities Assist with geotechnical modeling and data analysis Report and document preparation Please note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job. Additionally, you should have: Experience in the use of analytical and design software, including AutoCAD Knowledge of geotechnical analysis and modeling software is an asset, however no experience is necessary High motivation with results-oriented focus Superior organizational and multi-tasking skills Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills Unwavering commitment to health and safety in the workplace Excellent communication skills (oral and written) Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Valid Class G driver’s licence What We Offer You: TULLOCH has built a passionate workforce with a strong and vibrant culture which has been the key to our success.
